After a heavy weekend human presence the beach is back to only one Ring-necked Duck. The more exciting news is that for the first time since May 5th there were coots. Two of em.

Swift migration hasn’t made it to Portland yet but a thousand poured into the Rainier Riverside Church chimney at 8:30 last night. We're a bit disappointed in the visual from our in chimney camera but the sound is fantastic. Absolute audio mayhem.
