Friday, February 21, 2025 marks 20 years since BirdNote first hit the radio
airwaves on KPLU (now KNKX 88.5-FM)! Founded by Chris Peterson and an
amazing launch team including John Kessler, Joey Cohn, Ellen Blackstone,
Bob Sundstrom, Dennis Paulson, Nancy Rumbel, and many others, BirdNote's
daily show has become one of the most popular North American public radio
shows of all time. BirdNote also now produces a Spanish language version of
the show and one of the top global longform nature/conservation podcasts,
Bring Birds Back.
