Steve — There's a great tool (a birder-friendly dashboard!) that uses eBird data. You can specify a species and a recent time period (e.g., the last 14 days). https://birddash.net/us/wa/. Use the “look for a species” feature. Looks like there are some recent Black-backed Woodpecker sightings in the vicinity of Mount Rainier.
