I just wondered, couldn't a blind people organization (such as ONCE in
Spain) design a mail client that works solely with speech? And another
(or the same one) designed for braille machines?

You know that there are even simpler mail programs than Alpine for text
mode. For instance, in Linux there is "mailx".

Configuration is not simple, though.
